Wind Powered Green Hydrogen Ocean Platform

The H2Mare project has launched a floating platform test that uses wind power and surrounding sea-power to create green hydrogen using electrolysis. The system also uses the hydrogen produced to create synthetic gasoline and diesel from CO2 pulled from the surrounding air.

Building A School Using Doughnut Economics

The town of Tomelilla in Sweden is using Doughnut Economics to plan the management of the town, including building a new school that uses hemp grown locally as a building material, being powered by solar panels, and including a greenhouse at the centre of the school to teach children about growing food.

Shipping Releases Methane In Shallow Waters

Researcher Amanda Nylund at Chalmers University of Technology has shown that shipping vessels entering shallow waters cause pressure disturbances that release methane trapped in the ocean floor, at 20 times the normal rate.
