Podcast Of The Week: The Blindboy Podcast Live with Will St Leger & Tonie Walsh

I'm busy playing catchup with the latest Blindboy podcast episodes and this week I listened to the live podcast with Will St Leger and Tonie Walsh, and it was amazing! If you haven't listened to The Blindboy Podcast yet, the mainstay episodes are Blindboy giving us a podcast hug in his studio speaking straight about wide ranging topics from the historical significance of lapis luzuli to Carl Jung's collective self consciousness, with plenty of hot takes in between.

Podcasts Of The Week: Media MomentsBaz & Andrew's House of Rugby

The reincarnation of The Hard Yards podcast rose to life this week in its new form, Baz & Andrew's House Of Rugby, hosted by former Munster 13 Barry Murphy and former Ulster winger Andrew Trimble. The mixture of banter and chat with proper rugby analysis is spot on and fantastically fills the rugby podcast void that fans of The Hard Yards have been stranded in since this season kicked off in September.

Podcasts Of The Week: Media Moments

Dublin based PR & Storytelling agency All Good Tales have launched an interesting podcast called Media Moments, which tells the story of key moments of media history. The podcast is 2 episodes in and the second episode covers a Irish historical recap of P. Flynn's fall from grace at the hands of Tom Gilmartin, initiated by the infamous interview with Gay Byrne on The Late Late Show.

Podcast Of The Week: Wolverine The Long Night

Marvel have teamed up with Stitcher to release their first scripted podcast, a story about mysterious killings in Alaska involving lots of claw injuries. No prizes for guessing which Marvel character is involved (the clue is in the name! :-p). The podcast is a great radio drama with sound effects and atmospheric music coupled with a compelling drama narrative, and also Wolverine!

Podcasts Of The Week: Mothers Of Invention

Former President of Ireland Mary Robinson and irish comedian Maeve Higgins have launched a podcast called Mothers of Invention. The podcast aims to highlight much of the amazing work done by women around the world in tackling climate change issues large and small. The first episode has some fantastic insights about how the legal systems of countries are being used by ordinary citizens to push for climate change progress at government levels. Also, the craic between Mary and Maeve makes for a great listen!

Podcast of the Week: Syntax

I recently discovered the Syntax web development podcast, hosted by Wes Bos and Scott Tolinski, and I've sinced started binging on the episodes at 1.25x speed! The podcast covers a wide range of full stack web development topics with usually one area per episode. Both Wes and Scott run successful coding tutorial businesses and are experienced developers.

Podcasts Of The Week: Business Wars

As podcasts go, Business Wars by Wondery is very binge-worthy. The show offers a factual based story look at some of the biggest company battles in corporate history like Netflix V Blockbuster and Marvel V DC. Each story lasts for 7 or 8 episodes and finishes with some interviews of people close to the story. I found the Nike V Adidas story particularly good, the history of both companies is a great story!H/T to Niall Harbison for posting on Twitter about Business Wars.
